Pattaya is a unique and really fun city; it is 2 hours from Bangkok by road. It is a world famous party town. It is impossible to get bored or not have something to do in this 24 hour city. Pattaya has expanded vastly over the last 30 years. Pattaya has so many attractions, bars, restaurants, nightclubs, shops and markets that it is impossible to list them all. Jomtien sits 2km south of its noisy neighbor Pattaya. It is a perfect alternative to busy Pattaya. The focal point and main attraction is Jomtien Beach although, there is lots to enjoy here. Many people agree that Jomtien has the best restaurants, especially for fine dining at reasonable prices.
Pratumnuk Hill is home to the iconic Buddha on the Hill (or Big Buddha). This Buddhist holy site has spectacular views and as the name suggests a famous large Buddha. The beach at Pratumnak is one of the quietest, which is a surprise because it is a very clean sandy beach with a calm laid back ambience.
Wong Amat and Naklua are found in the North of Pattaya. It has a quieter nightlife than Pattaya, however Wong Amat has plenty of bars and restaurants to enjoy. The beach is many peoples favourite as it very clean and sandy.
